Simone Pheulpin

Born in 1941, Simone Pheulpin is a French textile sculptor who lives and works in the Vosges.

Her technique is based on the meticulous, repetitive folding of strips of unbleached, undecayed, rough cotton.

Pins, hidden in the heart of each piece, hold it all together. A universe unfolds, sometimes mineral, sometimes vegetable, reflecting the natural world.
